As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.

• Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.

• Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.

• Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.

• Facilitate and participate in scrum events, create user stories, acceptance criteria and business value estimation to rank and order the product backlog.

• Ability to prioritize and decide what is the most important and valuable work to be done, make trade off decisions considering the budget and timeline.

• Handle uncertainty and ambiguity.

• Conducting post deployment investigations of data irregularities. 

• Help team develop solutions and build consensus with client.

Required Qualifications:

• 5 – 8 years of experience

• Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role

• 3 + years’ experience of SQL with Snowflake, Teradata or ORACLE needed to troubleshoot production issues, client questions and review project deliverables.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math, Developer nanodegree.

• 3 + years’ experience with midrange and/or mainframe development, knowledge of LINUX Shell Scripts, JCL, ESP, RACF, UPSTART, Halo, Security Roles, Data Modeling, AGILE SAFe, or technical vendor oversight.

• 3 + years’ experience with Data analytics, Data Warehouse, WFA/C or Dispatch applications

Our Lead Software Engineering earns between $128,400 - $215,800. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
