As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall delivery process of a software application or service, including design, development, testing, deployment, production application support (e.g., troubleshooting) and maintenance with a focus on automation.
Collaborate to gather and review software requirements/user stories, provide estimates, create software design specifications, and collaborate with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions.
Execute a specific development methodology through application of various programming languages.
Create and execute automated test plans/strategies utilizing business requirements and collaborate with engineers/architects, clients, etc. to validate test environments, test data and test results, design and implement code fixes, validate outcomes against expected results and produce associated reporting.
Facilitate and participate in scrum events, create user stories, acceptance criteria and business value estimation to rank and order the product backlog.
Ability to prioritize and decide what is the most important and valuable work to be done, make trade off decisions considering the budget and timeline.
Handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
Conducting post deployment investigations of data irregularities.
Help team develop solutions and build consensus with client.
Required Qualifications:
5 – 8 years of experience
Technical Career Pathway (TCP) role
3 + years’ experience of SQL with Snowflake, Teradata or ORACLE needed to troubleshoot production issues, client questions and review project deliverables.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, or Math, Developer nanodegree.
3 + years’ experience with midrange and/or mainframe development, knowledge of LINUX Shell Scripts, JCL, ESP, RACF, UPSTART, Halo, Security Roles, Data Modeling, AGILE SAFe, or technical vendor oversight.
3 + years’ experience with Data analytics, Data Warehouse, WFA/C or Dispatch applications
Our Lead Software Engineering earns between $128,400 - $215,800. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
