Position: Lead Mobile Engineer - (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3)

As a Lead Mobile Engineer at Pearson, you will contribute heavily in the ideation, design, and development of our Mobile application platform.
Necessary Skills:

• Yoe spent 5 years hand-coding JavaScript. Yoe written your own JavaScript framework or Plugins and think in object notation.
• Yoe been the lead engineer on high-profile public-facing mobile/tablet applications and the track record to prove it.
• Yoe led and mentored dev teams.
• You can write clean and semantic HTML5, CSS3.
• You can consume and create APIs and web services.
• You have OOP down pat and have worked with Java for at least 5 years in an enterprise setting. Experience with Grails is desired.
• Yoe worked with Spring and have extensively focused on security.
• Yoe created databases, written queries, and stored procedures for at least 10 years. Experience with MySQL and Oracle is a must.
• Yoe worked in Agile teams and are familiar with Scrum.
• Experience with paired programming is a plus

Roles & Responsibilities:

• As our Lead Mobile Engineer, you will:
• Write code that utilizes the latest design patterns and best practices in a test-driven development environment
• Ensure back end scalability and front-end design integrity
• Collaborate with UX Designers, BAs, QA engineers, and product owners to develop continuous product enhancements and releases
• Lead architecture and platform design and scalability
• Research new technologies, build prototypes
• Lead and mentor dev team

Generic Managerial Skills: Able to plan/track tasks/activities
