POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Shift Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the Youth Care Workers' (YCW) and Shift Supervisors' daily activities. This position ensures that tasks are completed, and employees are motivated to work effectively. The Lead Supervisor acts as an educator when employees and team members are new, processes or conditions change, and discuss performance expectations, as needed.
Provides direct support to the Program Director by supervising safety, preservation of youth rights, and overall care of the youth.
Manages, approves, and submit time-sheets, maintains employee schedules, shifts, and time-off requests.
Coaches Youth Care Workers/Shift Supervisors encouraging, planning, correcting, and maintaining constant communication with team members.
Provides Youth Care Workers/Shift Supervisors with guidance, support, compassion and structure through mentoring, role modeling, and the integrations of VQ Fabric to promote personal growth and development.
Responsible for the supervision, assignment of duties and responsibilities, resolving conflicts among employees, ensuring that policies, rules, and regulations are followed.
Maintains compliance with organizational, licensing, and funding for the department, by following local, state, and federal policies and procedures.
Create and maintain a safe, healing, trauma informed environment based on the Sanctuary Model.

- High School diploma or equivalent degree.
- A minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
- Related supervisory experience required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Flexible schedule (evening, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
Cleared tuberculosis test results.
Cleared background checks from appropriate entities.
Obtain and maintain First Aid Certification (CPR) and Level 1 fingerprint clearance card.
Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50%of the day.
May bend, stoop, reach and grasp as necessary.
The pay range for this role is:
