Description

As a Network Security Engineer you'll focus on identifying, analyzing and responding to security threats within our network infrastructure. You’ll help design, monitor, and continuously improve systems to detect unauthorized activity, anomalies, and potential cyber attacks.

Responsibilities

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of Network Security principles to secure sensitive data and the security of the corporate network.
  • Assist in the design of secure network topologies and selection of appropriate hardware and software solutions (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, endpoint security software, etc.)
  • Conduct assessments of network device configurations to ensure optimal security posture and logging output. 
  • Actively monitor network traffic for anomalies and signs of intrusion and proactively search for signs of malicious activity on our networks.
  • Build a robust infrastructure that is highly reliable.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of experience in a Network Security role. Background and experience developing and analyzing Network Security architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols, SSL/TLS, network topologies, network attack and defense methods and logging system architectures.
  • Experience configuring and monitoring firewalls, routers, switches,  proxies/PAC, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and SIEM solutions.
  • Ability to correlate data from multiple sources, analyze patterns, and connect the dots to identify malicious behavior.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., python, bash) for automation tasks.
  • Experience in Security Operations performing detection and response.
  • Experience in healthcare or life science fields.
  • Proven track record of collaborating effectively across organizational boundaries, building relationships, and importing and exporting ideas to achieve broad organizational goals.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $134,000 - $206,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
