Job Description
The Quality and Food Safety Lead is responsible for assuring finished items meet all quality, regulatory standards, customer and business requirements. This position will sample, test where required, provide data and give guidance to Line leads for machine adjustments and product acceptance or disposition. This position requires extensive attention to detail, utilization of numerical data and good communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Support through communication and by example of Kane quality and food safety requirements and activity.
- Sample finished items for comparison to standards and specifications.
- Sample and label product for samples as required for all primary product lines.
- Communicate quality results or findings to the Line Leads as discovered.
- Conduct facility and line GMP inspections as required.
- Conduct line or equipment inspections to verify cleaning and acceptability for use.
- Support quality system development activities within the production operation.
- Conduct Component Verification checks for assigned Line(s) as required.
- Monitor and report any GMP violations discovered to Line Lead
- Communicate and document all instances of product or packaging out-of-speciation to Shift Supervisor and Quality Manager, ensuring the Line Lead fully understand the situation
- Other Quality related activities as requested
- Input data on paper or personal computer workstations
- Retrieve and review line data for analyses and input corrective actions when needed

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and two years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and email applications.
- Must attend 4-day QAKE training provided by P&G, and maintain QAKE Certification.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from associates, managers, regulatory agencies, and the general public.
- Ability to speak effectively with individuals at all levels within and external to the company and the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, and operating procedure manuals.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to generate and interpret graphs.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists, and the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
