The Arc Lane County is looking to add a new Lead Teacher to join our inclusive preschool program! This exciting position allows our teachers to combine creativity, their passion for teaching, and individualized experiences of childcare to create unique learning journeys for young students with diverse learning styles. The preschools operate Monday through Friday, 7:30am-6:00pm. Opportunities to work through summer/breaks are available. Pay is dependent upon ORO Step Level.

Qualifications & Skills:
*Must be registered in the Child Care Background Registry and have an R#*
- At least 6 months experience of relevant teaching in a certified childcare center or comparable group setting that cares for preschool aged children.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
- Food handler’s card and CPR/First Aid, the agency will provide this within the first 30 days of employment.
- Valid Oregon driver’s license preferred.
- Physical ability to perform required duties including maneuvering at least 25 pounds, kneeling, bending, and sitting on the floor to attend to student’s needs.
- Experience in curriculum planning and delivery.
- Experience contributing to parent/guardian conferences.
- Experience creating positive interactions and partnerships with families.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (orally as well as in writing) with a variety of individuals from varying socio-economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds.
- Assist in the development and implementation of program curriculum.
- Support students in the classroom, individually and in groups.
- Monitor individuals in a variety of settings (e.g., classroom, playground, etc.) for the purpose of reinforcing positive behaviors and encouraging safe, respectful, and positive environment for all.

Education Requirements:
At least :
Early childhood education or a field related to early childhood education (Step level 10); OR
A field not related to early childhood education but has completed coursework that is equivalent to a major in early childhood education and has sufficient training in early childhood education as determined by the Division.
An associate degree with additional training or additional certification in early childhood education or a field related to early childhood education, as determined by the Division (Step 9); OR
Child Development Associate (CDA) Preschool Credential or step level 8 as determined by the Oregon Online Registry (ORO)
