Duties:
- Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment
- Provide a variety of learning experiences through play, art, music, and physical education
- Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development in young children
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about their child's progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and activities
- Familiarity with curriculum development and early intervention strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and staff members
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Physical fitness to meet the demands of working with young children
Skills:
- Physical education: Ability to incorporate physical activities into lesson plans to promote gross motor skills development.
- Special education: Understanding of special education principles and strategies to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Classroom management: Ability to create an organized and structured classroom environment that promotes positive behavior.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues, and students.
- Childcare: Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices for ensuring the safety and well-being of children.
- Childhood development: Understanding of the stages of childhood development and how to support growth in various domains.
- Curriculum development: Ability to design age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards.
- Lesson planning: Skill in creating engaging lesson plans that incorporate different learning modalities.
- Early intervention: Knowledge of early intervention strategies for identifying and addressing developmental delays.
- Literacy education: Familiarity with literacy development and strategies for promoting early literacy skills.
