Lead Preschool Teacher

Reports to: Site Director

Job Goals:

• Provide quality care and education to preschool-aged children.
• Facilitate the development of each child through play and structured activities.
• Create a comfortable and safe learning environment for children and their families.

Performance Responsibilities within Classroom:

• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Foster positive relationships with parents and families.
• Assist with meal preparation and clean-up.

Program:

• Implement a well-rounded curriculum that includes language, literacy, math, science, social studies, and art.
• Encourage children to learn through play and exploration.
• Evaluate children's progress and communicate with families.
• Foster a love for learning and a sense of academic curiosity.

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• 12 units in ECE child development or related field.
• Or 6 completed semester unitsof early childhood education and enrolled in at least 2 semester units at a college until fully qualified.
• Minimum of 2 years experience working with preschool children in a formal setting.
• Current CPR and first aid certification.
• Knowledge and understanding of a variety of teaching methodologies and techniques.
• Ability to develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum.
• Good mental and physical health and stamina to work with young children in an active and engaging environment.
• Ability to interact positively and respectfully with children, parents, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Verification and transcripts of past experiences and education are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
