JOB SUMMARY
Individuals in this position will enroll, explain and promote club membership. Maintain positive customer relations, accurate records and current information on all video games and customer tracking.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Makes sure that all new hosts are trained on all club policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
• Makes sure that any changes to policies and procedures are documented and submitted to the Club Supervisor or department manager for approval.
• Must possess knowledge of the games that are entitled to Club benefits (to a level to explain games to new players and general knowledge of department’s operating policies).
• Provides coverage for the Player’s Club Center.
• Works the gaming area, checking with Club members and recruiting new club members.
• Uses the public address system to promote Club and to moderate special events.
• Maintains a neat and well-groomed personal appearance.
• Is friendly, outgoing, polite and courteous at all times.
• Provides answers and information to patrons, including player cards, flyers, pins, or other media.
• Promotes the games and promotes membership into the Player’s Club.
• Keeps abreast of all Club benefits and all events of the Casino.
• Issues prizes and rewards to Club members.
• Accurately enters and updates player information, points earned and points redeemed into the system.
• Accurately accounts for all gifts/rewards items distributed and prepares related documentation.
• Maintains the security of the Player’s Club.
• Maintains the confidentiality of Player’s Club members.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Resolves disputes or finds proper person to resolve problem matters.
• Makes in-house reservations for dinner.
• Recommends gift items, tracks selection, and takes inventory.
• Maintains the advertising literature in the front of the Casino.
• Takes promotional pictures and maintains the records of pictures.
• Must possess the knowledge of how to check out and return a cash bank from the main cashier.
• Must know opening and closing procedures for the club and be able to train other employees on these procedures.
• Must possess knowledge of the Infogenesis system including how to ring up cash and credit sales and issue refunds.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Must have experience as a Player's Club Host II at the Blue Lake Casino & Hotel or equivalent experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other Team Members of the organization. Above average and pleasant communication skills, including correct use of grammar and spelling are required. Requires the ability to explain programs and promotions in an uncomplicated manner. Should have retail or public interchange experience.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems and Word Processing software. Must be computer literate, possess accurate typing skills, and have prior experience with inside sales or promotions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS
- While employed, must maintain a valid and active Blue Lake Tribal Gaming Commission License.
- Must complete TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) training for serving alcohol responsibly within three months of being employed and maintain a valid certificate while employed thereafter.
