The pay range for this position is $17.83-$25.69 based on direct and relevant experience.
RAYUS Radiology, formerly Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is looking for a Lead Patient Transporter to join our team.
As a Lead Patient Transporter you will provide assistance to technologists by transporting patients to and from medical floors and the ER and assisting in other areas that allows them to maintain an on-time schedule and provide patients with outstanding customer service. Takes on a leadership role with the greater Patient Transporter team; from process improvements, staff planning, training and supervision. This position is full-time, Monday - Fridays, varying shifts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
(80%) Technologist Support & Patient Transport
- Greets and transports in-patients to and from medical floors and out-patients to and from changing rooms with a focus on delivering quality care and maintaining patients’ safety
- Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table, even if you are working on other tasks
- Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist
- Assists in room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table and putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
- Helps in stocking and cleaning work and control areas and rooms
- Organizes and cleans supply closet and computer rooms
- Ensures departmental equipment is properly disinfected and in good working order
- Checks with technologists, IC, Medical Records and/or Front Office for additional duties as needed
(15%) Staff Support
- Coordinates the training and onboarding of new associates
- Assists in the hiring process for new associates
- Leads regular team meetings and associate one-on-ones
- Monitors and approves timecards
- Initiates and participates in annual performance evaluations, development and performance management of associates
- Helps develop associate schedules to provide for planned time off, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and adequate coverage
- Evaluates workflow and implements process improvements for the team
- Ensures team has knowledge of company and department policies and corresponding procedures are in place
- Supports associates ensuring highest level of patient satisfaction
- Manages department in the absence of supervisor and coordinates schedule to ensure appropriate coverage
- Leads special projects and/or committees, as assigned

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years customer service and medical front office experience, with demonstrated ability to serve as a resource to others, coach and train associates, and identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Proficient with using computer systems and typing
- Bilingual
Preferred:
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in an office environment
