Under general direction, this position handles all incoming calls by screening, transferring, and answering questions appropriately, timely, and efficiently. Takes accurate and appropriate messages, assists and greets patients/visitors in a friendly and courteous manner, check patients in and out, and distributes mail, faxes, etc.; assists the department with various duties as needed. In addition, the Front Office Lead may assist in overseeing the front office operations, ensuring compliance with policy and procedure, orientation/training of new employees; participate in evaluation process and maintaining a professional environment.

Required qualifications:
- 2 years Experience as a Receptionist in an ambulatory/medical office or acute care setting.
Preferred qualifications:
- Medical Assistant, Billing, or Front Office Management certification from an accredited vocational school.
- Experience in a leadership role.
- MS Word, Excel and lOX, and Touchworks (Allscripts) experience.
