Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic GN&C Lead Engineer who is preoccupied with big
questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? How do we continue to
evolve as a species?
SUMMARY: Our team is looking for an energetic and dynamic GN&C Lead Engineer who will primarily be
responsible for aiding Axiom’s GN&C Team with leading the design, development, and testing of Axiom’s GN&C
System.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Act as the technical lead of Axiom’s Navigation Team
• Lead the development of relative and absolute navigation algorithms and flight software architecture
• Assign work to team members and mentor younger engineers
• Support GN&C Monte Carlo analysis as Navigation Subject Matter Expert

Education & Experience
• B.S. in Engineering or related field with 10+ years of experience
• Experience leading technical teams
• Extensive experience developing Kalman Filters
• Experience with image processing and algorithm development
• Experience with GN&C hardware including IMU, GPS, Star Trackers, LIDAR and OpNav
• Experience with SWIL and HWIL testing and integration
• Significant C++, Python, and MATLAB programming experience
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering or related field is preferred
• Experience developing spacecraft guidance algorithms is preferred
• Experience analyzing low earth orbit trajectories is preferred
• Experience with NASA’s Trick simulation framework is preferred
• Experience with JSC Engineering Orbital Mechanics (JEOD) is preferred
• Experience working in a multi-function team in an Agile environment is preferred
Essential Functions
• Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the
task.
Requirements
• Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
• Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.

Physical Requirements
• Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying
up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
