General Description / Language to Use for Job Postings: The Lead Specialist is responsible for leading the Shipping and Receiving clerks with handling our inventory and making sure it is kept up to date along with handling all the material for incoming and outbound shipments, & kitting job carts for future and current projects.
Reports to: Procurement Manager
Responsibilities:
• Tracking, Organizing, and Monitoring inventory.
• Controlling flows of equipment and supplies
• Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.
• Loading and unloading packages
• Documenting orders
• Job Kitting
• Maintaining inventory storage space
• Alerting management of inventory restock orders.
• Work with management if products are missing or damaged within a shipment.
• Check incoming deliveries to make sure all ordered material meets quality standards.
• Pull material to fulfill ETO requests.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
• High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Minimum Previous Experience:
• Proven work experience as an Inventory Specialist or similar role
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Experience in using warehouse equipment.
• Strong communication skills
• Dexterity and attention to detail
• Organizational skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
• License to operate forklifts.
Other Skills:
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office
• General computer skills
