POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Lead Installation Technician reports to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Located in Houston, TX.
  • Full-Time
  • In Office

The Lead Installation Technician is responsible for delivering and installing our customer's equipment as well as making sure the completion of the installation job is of the highest quality. This position will also train and mentor the Deliver & Install team members to become efficient in the role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan route to deliver and install equipment per the daily schedule.
  • Train and mentor Delivery & Installers on position procedures and best practices.
  • Efficiently and safely load vehicles using fork lifts, 2 or 4-wheel dollies, etc.
  • Driving equipment in a 26 ft box truck to location.
  • Complete paperwork accurately onsite; signature from management is required
  • Troubleshoot basic equipment repairs efficiently.
  • Follow and understand all Company processes and procedures.
  • Utilize Company provided technology for inventory and accurately recording customer visits.
  • Operate a Company and/or leased vehicle while meeting safety standards.
  • Report work completion or status of uncompleted assignments.
  • Survey safety devices and equipment on a regular basis. Keep equipment, tools and shop/work areas in clean/safe condition.
  • Maintain and take periodic inventory of parts, materials, and components as directed.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Comply with and teach safety regulations to Delivery and Installers.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Lift 75-100 pounds, crawl and kneel.

COMPETENCIES:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide direction to Install Technicians.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work.
  • Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
  • Some weekends and overtime required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
  • 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School preferred.
  • Must successfully pass and maintain a D.O.T. medical exam.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • 2+ years' experience in box 16-26 ft box Truck driving.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
