Meta Tech Industries is a Precision Machine Shop that makes parts for the Space, Oil and Defense industries.
We are looking for an experienced Inspector to help grow our quality department. The ideal candidate will have a background in precision machining operations and will be a critical thinker who will proactively improve the operations within the inspection department.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that parts are inspected correctly and that that are conforming to all tolerances and standards.
- Identify potential risks before they become a problem, focusing on root cause analysis and preventive action.
- Perform internal quality audits based on the existing QMS system
- Develop and initiate inspection plans, create First Article Inspection Reports.
- Manage internal QMS
- Track Internal NCR's and other quality metrics.
Qualifications
- Programming / operational experience utilizing a Zeiss CMM with Calypso software.
- 5+ years' relevant work experience utilizing hand inspection tools such as Calipers, Dial Bore gages, Optical Comparators, etc.
- Able to read blueprints and have an advanced understanding of GD&T standards (Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate clearly via written and oral communication.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
