Lead /Finish Carpenter

Total Deck Care is a family-owned exterior wood restoration company that serves Wake Forest, Raleigh, Rolesville, Youngsville and the entire Triangle area. We have been in business for over 20 years and specialize in building, maintaining and restoring wood and composite decks and fences, as well as siding repair, pressure washing homes, patios, sidewalks and driveways.

We are looking for a qualified Carpenter to add to our deck build and repair team. This individual will be able to construct wood and composite decks and screened in porches according to specifications and current codes.

The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.

Some of the daily responsibilities would include:

- Replacement of door/window trim

- Replacing siding

- Replacing fascia, soffit, and trim

- Installation of exterior doors and hardware

- Installation of deck screen systems

- Installation of decking, railing and support systems using pressure treated lumber, as well as composite decking material.

Job Type: Full-time or subcontractors welcome with valid insurance

Requirements:

Ten+ years of experience.

Good math skills and knowledge of NC building codes.

Must have own tools. Some larger tools will be supplied per job.

Must have own reliable transportation in which to get to and from work site.

Attention to detail.

Must be able to climb and safely work on ladders.

Positive attitude.

Articulate and polite, personable and comfortable with conversing with clients.

Must have a valid driver’s license.

Must be US resident or provide proof of a VALID work visa.

References from previous employers will be checked.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
