Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, the Lead Encapsulation Operator is responsible for assisting the supervisor on a daily basis. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
Shift: 3rd Shift, 10:00pm - 6:30am
Responsibilities:

  • Manages the department in the absence of the supervisor and/or manager
  • Required to competently operate encapsulation machinery independently as well as within a team environment
  • Designates Associates for job assignments
  • Must be able to perform any job in the encapsulation department to include operating an encapsulation machine, understanding production priorities, scheduling, and directing the team to accomplish a safe and productive shift
  • Match all labels with batch records
  • Must be able to document encapsulation process information as per SOP
  • Must be able to load and unload encapsulation machine
  • Monitor encapsulation operation periodically and report any abnormal conditions to the manager
  • Assists in training other Associates
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
  • Personal responsibility for following safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
  • Prior machine operator experience in a manufacturing or packaging setting required
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Must be able to respond to verbal and written instructions
  • Physical ability to repetitively lift, stand, climb, bend, etc... within a manufacturing environment
