Lead Cook Needed

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Lead Cook to join our team. The Lead Cook will be responsible for overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our kitchen. This individual will also be in charge of supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
**Qualifications:**

• Proven experience working as a Cook or in a similar role
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Ability to lead and motivate a team
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Attention to detail and dedication to food quality and presentation
• Certification from a culinary school or relevant food safety training is a plus

**Responsibilities:**

• Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities
• Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef
• Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to the established recipes and quality standards
• Monitor food stock and place orders when needed
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and specials
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines
• Train new kitchen staff and provide ongoing coaching and support

**Working Conditions:**
This position requires standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and lifting heavy objects. The Lead Cook may be exposed to heat, steam, and other kitchen-related hazards. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, is expected.
