Lead Carpenter/Foreman

Hey there! We are a fairly new and rapidly growing residential remodeling company looking for our permanent Lead Carpenter/Foreman. We have built a solid client base and crew, building everything from decks and fences to full house remodels. We'd want you to be bags-on for the first few years, but eventually the goal is to build up your team behind you and have you transition to a more administrative role in the company. We would be looking to you to help shape the day-to-day operations on the job site. We're looking for the type of person that wants to put in the extra effort to shape the future of a newer company and be rewarded for their time and effort. To be clear, this is not a job for a really strong carpenter that wants to make more money. This is a role specifically for a Leader who wants to take on the challenge of helping a new company develop its SOP, and to be able to create a safe and fun working space for themselves and their crew.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee and manage all aspects of remodel projects from start to finish
- Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Coordinate and schedule subcontractors and other trades
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Monitor and enforce compliance with OSHA safety regulations
- Supervise and train carpentry crew members
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and expenses

- On time arrival daily: first in, last out

- Update crew on daily tasks and goals, lead morning safety meeting

- Keep the job site organized and safe throughout the day

- Develop next day’s plan the night before

- Time management, leave enough time to clean up/organize tools within 8hr day

Experience:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in carpentry and/or construction management
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction methods
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and prioritize tasks
- Experience in budgeting and cost control for construction projects

In a nutshell, we're looking for someone who has strong carpentry skills, but more importantly wants to lead and develop a team. Someone who can keep it light and fun, but can also inspire the team to do their best work at the same time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
