What started as a single pushcart slinging pops on a street corner in Atlanta has developed into a tradition in Atlanta and throughout the South. We started with just pops sold out of carts but now also cater, sell into grocery stores, developed a bar concept featuring our soon to be world famous Pop-tails, have started to franchise our cart business so people can bring KoP to their neighborhood, grow fruit on our farm, run a regional food distribution business and most importantly have fun doing all of it!
Beyond all that, what moves us the most is creating UMoHs or Unexpected Moments of Happiness. We do this in countless ways and are part of the fabric of our company. Whether it’s free yoga in the park, farm field days, free pop days, treating myriad organizations that are close to our hearts or helping out fundraising for the next big thing at non-profits. Pops are the perfect way to put a smile on a face and have a moment of happiness in a sometimes overwhelming world.
POSITION: Lead Bartender
- REPORTS TO: King of Pops Company Owned Stores Director
- STATUS: Full time
- DIRECT REPORTS: 3 to 6 (seasonally)
- COMPENSATION: $16/hr plus tips

Summary:
- As a Lead Bartender, you will fill a key leadership role within our company. You will skillfully oversee the day-to-day operations of your bar. This is measured by department revenue and profit while maintaining company standards for quality assurance, asset protection, team member satisfaction and exceeding guest expectations.
Principal Job Functions:
- Commits to the purpose, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates RU core values.
- Responsible for training, developing and engaging the team.
- Keep equipment in good working order through ongoing maintenance, cleaning and troubleshooting.
- Place Orders and be accountable for receiving orders.
- Make sure the bar is clean and passing all health requirements.
- Optimize space visually and organizationally.
- Adhere to Operations Manual
- Complete monthly inventory
- Submit draft schedule two weeks in advance
- Act as a model for future King of Pops Bar Franchise opportunities and work with the Franchise team to test hypotheses and improve our offering.
- Ensures compliance with human resource policies and procedures by staff.
- Completes budget process within identified timeframe and format specified; monitors budget compliance and justifies variances.
- Manage budgets and control expenses.
- Flexibility to work a variety of hours as business demands, including weekends and holidays.
- Must work at least 30 hours on the front line per week.
- Drive sales and continuous process improvements for a multi-shift, high volume operation that encompasses safety, inventory control, regulatory compliance, receiving, packing, and sales.
- You are accountable for all on-site event space activations, off-premise pop cart retail and catering territory operations.
- Ensure fixed assets are preserved and maintained.
- Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
Education & Experience:
- This position requires a results-oriented, high-energy, dynamic individual with both stamina and mental quickness to be able to work and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff will be imperative.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing on feet serving pops and drinks.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
