We are looking for a Lead Architect to join the team! In this role, you will be responsible for providing the strategic direction of technology architecture. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining frameworks (structure, process, capabilities and tools) for the
creation, maintenance, management and use of IT architecture.

The successful candidate will orchestrate and leverage the architecture capability and staff to achieve these outcomes. In support of the above objectives, the Lead Architect will have responsibility for developing and maturing an Architecture Centre of Excellence as a mechanism for collaboration, education and planning across all regions. 

A day in the life... 

• Align business strategy to IT investment and execution, through insightful analysis of the portfolio of IT-enabled projects and comparison to known business strategies.
• Provide architecture assurance to initiatives that are being executed.
• Inform and influence the technology roadmaps for the products and services offered.
• Manage, use and maintain technology architecture models.
• Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of architecture.
• Implement the strategy for the development of technology architecture work.
• Advises and recommends architecture strategies, processes and methodologies.
• Recommends and participates in the analysis, evaluation and development of long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that architecture objectives are consistent with the division's long-term business objectives.
• Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and upcoming vendor products and solutions.
• Participates in and manages Architecture Working Groups for the development and maintenance of architecture.
• Collaborates with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with architecture guidelines and recommendations.
• Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level.
• Direct the technology architecture activities.
• Recommends and participates in the development of architecture blueprints for related systems.
• Participates in the design and implementation of technology standards, tools and methodologies.
• Control the management of technology architectures.
• Identifies and recommends areas appropriate for further study and participates in any Proof-of-Concept projects required to thoroughly investigate architectural possibilities and strengthen arguments for their adoption.
• Identifies implementation risks and analyses potential impact on the division and on the achievement of scheduled objectives.
• Recommends and participates in the design and implementation of standards, tools and methodologies.

Who you are...

• Relevant IT Qualification.
• 4 years in a senior architecture role.
• Travel industry knowledge (desirable).
