Job description

The Lead Accounting Consultant will be a critical part in managing a large multi-entity client. Key to the role is assisting the client in the use of analysis and accounting principals to manage the continually shifting landscape of a growing complex business. The lead will review and guide the internal support team in all financial processes and ensure accuracy and cohesiveness in meeting the clients goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Requirements include highly analytical skills and detail orientated focus with the ability to identify and create soltuions for complex business activity

· Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients

· Provide internal and external status, operational metrics and service level reporting

· Provide problem resolution following proper procedures

· Manage issue resolution across functional areas to ensure on time delivery

· Effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects, tasks and key timelines

o Manage client processing team to ensure aligned on tasks, deadlines and communication

· Maintain accurate and complete documentation on the status of ongoing implementations and problems

· Assist in troubleshooting and resolving accounting support inquiries with focus on providing a high level of customer service

· Initiate, manage and lead both internal and client specific meetings

· Maintain consistent communication with clients and managing expectations of work timelines, volume and expense.

· Consulting with clients on overall business strategies when appropriate and continually educating them on available services that would support their goals

· Mentoring bookkeepers and other teammates when there is opportunity to share knowledge to strengthen the team.

o Having a pulse: mentoring leads, management of the leads, and help develop feedback from leads

· Accurately use Peak task management (Monday’s) and continually review to assure accuracy and completeness of current job duties

· Use of workflow system (OneNote/Teams) to maintain communication with team and record project plans, client communications and reporting

· Follow security protocols

· Specific duties include, but are not limited to, project management, financial analysis, internal audits, budgets, forecasts, cash projections, payroll processing, full charge bookkeeping duties, systems evaluation and implementation, software integrations, and sometimes, client therapy, if they are going through a rough patch

· Additional duties may be required from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to working independently and managing a team

· Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, v-loop-ups, and multifunction formulas

· Experience with creation and maintenance of forecasts, proformas and budgets

· Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines

· Creating analytical data driven reporting from multiple sources to guide stakeholders in decision making.

· Strong attention to detail and outstanding oral, written and interpersonal skills

· Professional and resourceful style; high integrity and sound judgement

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

· Accounting Degree

· Advanced knowledge of QUICKBOOKS and QUICKBOOKS on-line

· Forecasting and Budget Preparation/Job Costing

· Experience with Payroll

· Ability to manage across industries

· Strong analytical capabilities

· Advanced EXCEL skills

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Ability to sit for long periods of time.

· Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the phone

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
