Job Description
McLaughlin Research Corporation seeks a full time Lead Access Control Clerk to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), which provides comprehensive and dedicated support to the Navy in the areas of research, development, test and evaluation, analysis, systems engineering, integration and certification of complex naval warfare systems and fleet support. The Lead Access Control Clerk shall provide technical, administrative, and project support services in support of security administration, ACCESS CONTROL and escorting support services as required at NSWCDD. The Lead Access Control Clerk shall perform general security administration duties necessary to meet the needs of NSWCDD and assist with performing a wide variety of complex security duties.
- Receipt, tracking and proper disposition of in-coming and out-going classified mail
- Assign Confidential, Secret and Top Secret serial numbers for packages
- Package and wrap sensitive and classified material to be shipped
- Prepare material for customers to hand carry off site
- Advise customers on processes or procedures
- Ensure accountability and disposition of in-coming and out-going material.
- Prepares Security Discrepancy Notice
- Processes secret and below destruction shipments to NSA or destroys locally
- Maintain record keeping for packages sent and received
- Perform all Delivery Staging Area (DSA) mailroom tasks
- Perform courier tasks
Job Requirements
- Three (3) years of experience in the area of classified control. Experience must include oversight of the transmission, receipt, tracking, and destruction of classified material per DOD/DON policies.
- Ability to effectively manage scheduling of personnel to ensure coverage of multiple buildings/facilities.
- Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) and to communicate effectively orally and through written reports in specified formats.
- Experience in the use of clearance verification systems, badge access and alarm systems and the escorting of uncleared (personnel without US security clearances) personnel within classified spaces. Knowledge of the Lenel Enterprise Control/Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and Defense Information System for Security (DISS).
This position is contingent on contract award.
