Atrium Health Levine Children's is seeking a full-time Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Physician to join our team at the Congenital Heart Center in Charlotte, NC. The CVICU team is staffed with highly skilled dedicated Pediatric Cardiac Intensivists and pediatric advance practice providers (APPs). The Congenital Heart Center is staffed with worldclass surgeons, cardiologists, anesthesiologists and intensivists, whose work results in outstanding surgical outcomes and professional collaboration. In total our practice has over 22 highly trained physicians, and 20 APPs. This position is a shift-based schedule, with rotating weekend and night call.
Ideal Candidate:
- Board certified in pediatric critical care, pediatric cardiology, pediatric anesthesiology or neonatology with additional training and experience in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care.
Atrium Health Levine Children's Congenital Heart Center, established in 2010, is currently ranked #8 in the country for Best Children's Hospital for Cardiology & Heart Surgery by U.S. News and World Report. Our comprehensive services include cardiac imaging, diagnostic and interventional catheterization, invasive electrophysiology, dedicated cardiovascular intensive care staff, and regional referral programs in heart failure/transplantation, adult Congenital Heart disease (ACHD), and fetal echocardiography. Our state-of-the-art two lab cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology suite and new outpatient office complex is filled with dedicated staffing and is designed to treat all patients from fetal cardiology to ACHD. Our comprehensive Cardiac Neurodevelopment program provides a multitude of specialty services to our Congenital Heart patients in the same office suite. Participation in investigator initiated and multi-center industry sponsored studies is ongoing within the Heart Center, with the support of an active clinical research department.
Levine Children's Hospital (LCH) is a state-of-the-art facility in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina. LCH has 11 floors and 234 inpatient beds, including on-site PICU and CVICU covered 24/7 by in-house intensivists, Progressive Care Unit, Inpatient Observation Unit, Pediatric Rehab Unit, and Pediatric Emergency Department.
