Job Description:The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Connecticut has an unpaid internship program for first-year (second semester), second-year, and third-year Law Student interns in the Bridgeport, Hartford, and New Haven Offices. Students may work at the Office during the fall and summer terms. During the fall and spring terms, students may work part-time and receive school credit for the internship.
Interns participate in a wide range of work alongside Assistant United States Attorneys in both the Criminal and Civil Divisions. Typical assignments include research and writing projects, participating in witness interviews, document analysis, assisting in preparing for depositions and oral arguments in court, and assisting with trials.
Qualifications:
First-year (second semester), second- and third-year Law Students. Law graduates are not eligible for Student Volunteer positions. Must be a U.S. citizen and will be subject to a background investigation due to the sensitive nature of the work performed by the office
