Job Description
Our business & employment litigation firm has a need for two law clerks. This position is for people who love what they do and we will mentor and train you to get to the next level, and fast. You will be dealing with simple to complex cases in both state and federal courts. This is a position that can lead to full-time career employment with various benefits; our most important one is our dedication to a work-life balance.
This position is only for 3Ls or post-bar candidates.
We are seeking someone who has experience in preparing complaints, answers, issuing and responding to discovery, as well as motions. Strong research skills on Westlaw are critical, as are great grammar skills. We offer a collegial working environment with people who are intellectually savvy but have lovely personalities and are fun to work with and learn from.
We are seeking someone who likes to learn (ie via Westlaw and CEB's OnLaw). Our law firm is seeking someone who can work well without supervision (as we don't micromanage), a self-starter, and someone who can handle a fast-paced environment. If you are ambitious and driven, contact us.
Please submit a confidential cover letter telling us about yourself including your desired rate of pay and availability (when you are available, how many days of the week, and what times you are available) along with your resume. Submit 3 writing samples (ie something you wrote yourself) including a complaint and arb/med/trial brief or something similar. We offer an array of bonuses that can add significantly to your pay. You are welcome to work from our offices or at home.
