We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laundry Attendant to join our award winning hotel team. As a Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper care of all linens and towels. Your role will primarily involve operating laundry equipment, sorting and folding laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, all linens and towels according to established procedures
- Inspect items for stains, tears, or damage and report any issues to the supervisor
- Operate commercial laundry equipment such as washers, and dryers
- Maintain inventory of clean linens and supplies
- Ensure all laundry is properly labeled with guest or department names
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with other housekeeping tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in laundry operations preferred
- Ability to lift heavy loads (up to 40 pounds) and stand for extended periods of time
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $11.50 per hour
