The role:
The Laundry Attendant will provide laundry services to the Tribeca facility in collaboration with the laundry team in Brooklyn. This position is located primarily in Brooklyn. The majority of the role consists of washing and drying used textiles, folding laundry, and maintaining a clean and professional laundry facility. There is also limited driving to and from the Tribeca spa to retrieve and deliver laundry items.
Key Responsibilities:
Laundry Attendant Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Wash and dry used textiles (including robes, towels, swimsuits, water shoes, sheets, etc.) according to the direction and machine requirements.
- Fold clean laundry according to company protocol.
- Retrieve used the laundry and distribute clean materials.
- Clean assigned areas of the center (including floors, walls, furniture, trash, etc.).
- Other duties as assigned.
Who You Are:
- Prior experience in housekeeping, or commercial laundry required.
- You are completely customer-oriented, and you have excellent interpersonal and communicative skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to walk, stand, and continuously perform essential job functions for an extended period of time.
- Possess a strong customer service mentality. Display a friendly, energetic, outgoing, and personable demeanor.
