Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000 annually. The specific salary/payrate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.


Hours/Days

This is full–time, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Occasional early or late hours may be required as job duties demand as well as on-call.

Essential Role Overview:

The Laundry and Ware-wash Technician is responsible for supporting the sales efforts of Regional Sales Executives companywide alongside, and reporting directly to, our Laundry and Ware-wash Supervisor. This role will support our sellers with training, inventory, dispensing equipment, and installations. Responsibilities also include interacting directly with customers, assisting in selling product solutions and providing prompt, personal and reliable services to meet their needs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Exposure to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.

Role Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Train and perform skilled mechanical/electrical work to troubleshoot, diagnose, maintain, repair, modify, and install machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipe, and

electrical systems in an automated commercial ware-wash facility following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings. These duties shall be performed using hand tools, power tools, industrial equipment, measuring and testing instruments.

  • Working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements
  • Work with Sales Team on new leads and prospects and promote sales in the ware-wash and laundry.
  • Know and explain the hazards associated with specific types of equipment and tools. Use appropriate tools for the job and comply with all company safety polices. Wear all the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required or necessary, know proper reporting of an accident or emergency.
  • Always operate all equipment and/or machinery correctly and safely.
  • Assist outside vendors and/or contractors by providing information or lending assistance for work conducted at specified locations.

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

Significant local travel on a daily basis and occasional overnight travel may be necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of mechanical experience.

Abilities

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, intermediate math skills required.
  • Mechanical and technical ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
  • Ability to lift and / or carry up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to support others and foster a cooperative work environment including training, scheduling, and employee development and performance management skills required.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement in decision making
  • Model and instill independent understanding of our customer’s laundry, dishwashing, and cleaning needs for our Sales Executives to proactively identify solutions that best meet customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate to the benefit of our customers the mechanical aptitude to install, maintain and repair Laundry and dish machines and dispensing equipment as well as demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring that the equipment is fully operational.
  • Troubleshoot service issues for Sales Executives and Customers, keeping them abreast of new regulations and technologies.
  • Support Sales Executives with new technique, policies and procedures.
  • Respond to customer emergency service requests on weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
