Laundry Aide

Community Health and Rehab is looking for a Part Time Laundry Aide to join our team!

Requirements:

• The ability to read and write
• A Patient, friendly, courteous and respectful demeanor, with a teamwork mindset
• The ability to make independent decisions when necessary
• Must be physically able to lift, push, pull, and carry 30 pounds.
• And follow rules and guidelines set in place by the facility and state
• Must be dependable, and timely

Experience: Prior laundry experience in a health care setting preferred, but not required

Job Duties

• Provide daily laundry servicesto residents in a timely and efficent manner
• Gathers and weighs soiled personal items, linens, garments, ect in appropriate containers
• Pre-treats, irons, folds, hangs, and distributes personal items, linens, and garments to resident rooms
• Coordinates laundry services with nursing department
• Monitors inventory of supplies to ensure adequate quanities, as well as report any repairs needed to the Laundry Supervisor

Working Conditions:

You will primarily work in the laundry department, but will be required to move throughout the facility, including resident rooms. This position will require you to bend, lift, sit and stand throughout the shift. You may have to deal with frequent interruptions, and possibly upset residents and family members. This department is subject to odors, falls, burns, and exposure to infectious diseases and waste. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays based on resident and department needs.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
