- Remove soiled linens from laundry chutes.
- Sorts laundry according to type, color, material, and degree of soil.
- Places batches of similar articles in drums of washers, avoiding overload.
- Operates washers and dryers using established formulas and following instructions for operation of machines. Washes contaminated linens according to special procedure to prevent spread of disease.
- Transfers washed articles from washing machine to dryer.
- Clean dryer vents and lint collector as assigned by supervisor.
- Folds and places linens on carts for distribution to respective departments.
- Reports immediately any malfunction of equipment.

1. Minimum completion of eighth grade or equivalent experience.
2. Must be able to follow written and oral directions.
3. Must have a sense of responsibility.
4. Must be able to operate various laundry equipment.
- Maintains laundry area in clean and orderly fashion.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
- Delivers linen carts and bins to neighborhoods when required.
- Pick up personal linens from Cedar Gardens and Cedar Cove.
- Maintains laundry chutes in clean and orderly fashion.
