Job Description:
As a Laundry Aide at Acclaim Rehab and Nursing Center, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our residents by maintaining the cleanliness and organization of their clothing. Your responsibilities will include distributing, organizing, tracking, storing, and maintaining records for resident clothing. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents while working in a supportive environment.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain control of resident clothing.
- Distribute daily all resident clothes that have been washed, ensuring accuracy and legibility of name and room number labels. Relabel items as needed.
- Organize residents' closets.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other employees.
- Interact with residents and their families using clear and professional language.
- Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
Experience:
Not applicable. On-the-job training provided.
Specific Requirements:
- Must be able to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of laundry areas for sanitation, order, and safety.
- Possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing laundry practices.
- Follow written and oral instructions about the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, and cleaning instructions.
