Weekend Laundry Aide

Responsibilities of a Laundry Aide:

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute residents' clothing and linens according to established procedures.
• Ensure that laundry equipment is properly maintained and in good working order.
• Inspect laundry items for stains, damage, or necessary repairs.
• Perform minor repairs on clothing and linens, such as sewing and mending.
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Keep inventory of laundry supplies and request restocking when needed.
• Communicate with staff and residents regarding laundry preferences and special requests.
• Report any issues or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Assist in maintaining a record of laundry and linen usage.

Qualificationsof a Laundry Aide:

• High school diploma
• Serious applicants
