Laundry Aide

Immediate opening for an energetic, punctual, reliable individual. Prior laundry experience in a nursing home or hospital setting highly desirable but will train the right person. Your primary function will be as Laundry Aide and you will be cross-trained for housekeeping if needed. This is a full time position with benefits. Afternoon shift 1:30 to 9:30 pm.

Bella Vista Health Center is a 99-bed Nursing & Rehabilitation facility located in Lemon Grove. We are dedicated to providing top level care to our residents and a friendly, enjoyable work environment to out staff.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
• Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive manor
• Adhere to all current regulations governing nursing facilities
• Develop a friendly, helpful rapport with residents
• Maintain the confidentiality and rights of all residents
• Work as Housekeeper as needed

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be fully vaccinated and boostered
• Minimum 8th grade level of education
• Experience with commercial washers and dryers preferred
• Have a strong work ethic
• Must be of good character
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required
• Experience working in a Nursing Facility or hospital a plus
• Attention to detail
• Willingness to "go the extra mile" to provide exceptional customer service
• Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such a weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
