The primary purpose of the Laundry Aide is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local regulations.
Responsibilities of the Laundry Aide:
- Sort soiled laundry, linen, garments, etc., and place in appropriate containers or assigned areas in the laundry room and separate all items that require special stain removal/treatment
- Wash and dry soiled linen, laundry, and garments
- Fold, count, stack, hang and distribute clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., to residents daily
- Keep Laundry room floors clean
- Clean walls and ceilings of laundry rooms as necessary
- Turn in all unidentified laundry, linens, garments, etc., to lost and found
- Discard waste/trash into proper containers
. Requirements:
of the Laundry Aide:
- Laundry experience in healthcare preferred
- Experience in a Long-Term Care facility preferred
- Show kindness and respect toward residents, family members, visitors
