Our company is looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage tooling life, make adjustments, change offsets, and modify programs as needed;
- Adhere to industry safety standards;
- Set-up and operate CNC Lathes;
- Inspect Product while practicing quality assurance procedures;
- Perform in-process inspection as required to ensure 100% quality product;
- Retrieve appropriate tools from tool crib to complete job;
- Meet schedules and maintain quality standards;
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications;
- Set up machines;
- Understand and follow machining policies, instructions, work rules and safety guidelines;
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations;
- Change tools and make offset adjustments;
- edit CNC programs as required;
- understand and make adjustments to hold geometric tolerances and geometric dimensions;
- load/unoad tools.
Requirements:
- Reading, writing and math ability;
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations;
- 3-5 years CNC Lathe Machine Operator experience;
- General programming skills;
- Typical machine shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however some loud noises occasionally occur;
- Basic shop math (addition, subtraction, trigonometry);
- Ability to perform own set-ups helpful;
- 5+ years of experience or have a portfolio of work, certificates, and letter of recommendation if you are a recent graduate;
- Able to read and understand blueprints;
- 5th axis experience is a huge plus;
- Reliable transportation;
- 3-5 years CNC Lathe experience – stable work history;
- Mill turn manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required;
- Perform Basic Edits;
- Strong interpersonal skills.
