Job Description
One River School of Art + Design is seeking a motivated, self-starting college graduate to work as an Assistant Director of Member Services. Our ideal candidate studied some form of visual arts in college and has demonstrated leadership and proactivity through involvement in extracurricular activities and internships. This role combines a passion for art and organizational skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited, four year college or university required
Majors in visual arts, art history, and marketing / communications preferred
2+ years experience (including internships) in a professional setting working with customers / clients
Strong communication skills required
Strong interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to network, collaborate and build relationships with clients, partners, staff, remote colleagues and others.
Willing to work 2 evenings a week and Saturday (alternative day off given)
Must possess a passion for art and develop one for the One River School brand
Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 plus bonus

The Assistant Director of Member Services at One River School is responsible for 3 key pillars of driving member and student success: new student acquisition, member service and community engagement.
Key Assistant Director of Member Services responsibilities include:
1. Maximize new student enrollment to drive school performance.
Follow up all new leads, walk-ins, phone calls and emails and walk them through the enrollment process. Keep track of all inquiries and leads in our CRM system. Schedule tours of the school and devise other ways to connect with potential students.
2. Provide exceptional member service for a hospitality level customer experience.
Working at our Gallery Front Desk, you are the face of One River, so you must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor and greet everyone who comes in. Resolve any conflicts and provide exemplary follow up for every customer interaction. Answer phones in a highly responsive manner. Thoroughly communicate all school policies to new members and ensure they sign their membership agreement. Onboard new students and walk them to their classroom on their first day.
3. Manage the school’s processes and procedures effectively.
Using superior attention to detail you will maintain the subscription statuses, keep track of enrollment and membership metrics, send out and follow up on email and social media marketing materials. Troubleshoot any technical issues customers are having with the enrollment or cancellation of services. Keep the student schedule updated to ensure it is accurate.
3. Maximize community engagement and brand awareness through local events, exhibitions, social media and the website.
Design and send email blasts, text blasts and mail to the school's contact record database to promote the school. Manage website content. Assist in facilitating 2 professional artist exhibitions each year.
4. Facility Management:
Deploy the opening / closing checklist daily. Review facility issues with the School Director. Order office supplies and equipment as needed. Ensure student and teacher safety by following all facility guidelines.
