Landscape Technician Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Landscaping Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping operations, including plant installation, hardscape construction, and maintenance tasks. As a Landscaping Technician at Grey Rock Landscape and Construction, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the beauty and functionality of our landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities

Landscape Design:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and vision for outdoor spaces.

Installation and Maintenance:

• Follow provided plan to execute landscape installation projects, including planting, irrigation, and hardscape construction.
• Work directly with Project Coordinator and Crew Leader to ensure all requirements for the project are met.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, and fertilizing. Monitor and assess the health of plants, addressing issues promptly.

Hardscape Construction:

• Install and repair various hardscape features, including patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment required for hardscape construction.
• Communication:
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on project progress. Address client concerns and ensure satisfaction with completed projects.

Team Collaboration:

• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient project execution. Assist in training new team members and sharing expertise.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience as a landscaper or similar role
• Proficient in operating landscaping tools and equipment
• Physical fitness and the ability to repeatedly lift over 50 lbs. as well as perform tasks in various weather conditions
• Strong work ethic
• Dependable and reliable
• Attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to problem solve
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to pass an MVR and a background check
• Courteous and professional

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
