Responsibilities:

• Trim & prune hedges and shrubbery.
• Plant flowers and trees.
• Watering flowers and trees.
• Installing mulch around plants in flower bed.
• Edging garden beds.
• Leaf removal/blowing.
• Installing crushed stone in beds.
• Weeding garden beds.
• Yard clean ups.
• Operating company trucks and equipment.
• Perennial and annual plant maintenance

**Job Details:

• 1. **Planting and Cultivating:** Select appropriate plant species based on climate, soil conditions, and aesthetic considerations. Plant, transplant, and maintain trees, shrubs, flowers, and other flora. Implement sustainable gardening practices to promote environmental conservation.
• 2. **Soil Management:** Assess soil quality and fertility levels. Implement soil amendments, composting, and mulching techniques to improve soil health and structure.
• 3. **Pest and Disease Management:** Monitor gardens for signs of pests, diseases, and invasive species. Develop integrated pest management strategies to minimize damage and maintain plant health.
• 4. **Pruning and Trimming:** Perform regular pruning, trimming, and shaping of plants to promote growth, flowering, and aesthetic appeal. Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to achieve desired results.
• 5. **Watering and Irrigation:** Establish efficient watering and irrigation systems to ensure proper hydration for plants. Monitor moisture levels and adjust irrigation schedules as needed.
• 6. **Seasonal Maintenance:** Conduct seasonal clean-up, mulching, and fertilization activities to prepare gardens for changing weather conditions. Plant seasonal flowers and bulbs to enhance visual interest throughout the year.
• 7. **Client Communication:** Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on garden progress, recommend maintenance practices, and address any concerns or inquiries.
• 8. **Equipment Maintenance:** Maintain and organize gardening tools, equipment, and machinery. Perform routine maintenance and repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation.

**Requirements:

• 1. **Horticultural Knowledge:** Strong understanding of plant biology, soil science, and gardening principles. Certification or formal training in horticulture, landscape design, or related field is preferred.
• 2. **Creativity:** Ability to envision and create aesthetically pleasing garden designs. Proficiency in selecting complementary plant combinations, colors, and textures.
• 3. **Attention to Detail:** Keen eye for detail and precision in all aspects of garden maintenance and design.
• 4. **Physical Stamina:** Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• 5. **Communication Skills:** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
• 6. **Organizational Skills:** Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
