Join our landscape field team at The Garden Continuum, a company deeply committed to creating and maintaining beautifully landscaped environments through our signature Life-Scape method. We are currently seeking a Landscape Enhancement Crew Member who appreciates being outside and working with soils, plants, and hardscape materials. Our crews participate in regenerative landscape practices, including soil development, plantings of all scales, installation of hardscape features, and caring for landscapes over time. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work on both the Fine Gardening and Project Development teams in the care and installation of diverse landscaped environments. Responsibilities- Work in diverse landscaped environments, including highly gardened sites.
- Provide care for gardens as unique individual settings.
- Engage in ccontinuous learning and practicing of plant identification and care strategies.
- Assist in the transport of supplies and/or labor for hardscape installation projects.
- Uphold project site safety standards at all times.
- Align with the five core values of TGC: Nature, People, Systems, Education, and Fun.
- Minimum of 1 year professional experience in the landscaping industry performing general gardening activities, such edging, weeding, & mulching, tending perennials, pruning, dividing, and transplanting.
- At least 1 year of experience with installing landscapes, including planting trees, shrubs, and perennials.
- Ability to perform physical work for the majority of each day.
- Interest in sustainable practices, garden development, and care that goes beyond the status quo.
- Deep appreciation for outdoor environments created and maintained through efforts of landscape construction.
- Consistent and dependable attendance record.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, and in diverse weather conditions.
- Willingness to work within a diverse and multi-generational team.
- Willingness to learn and comply with best industry practices as well as unique sustainability practices developed for the Life-Scape Method.
- Willingness to obtain further certifications & licensure as needed.
- Some equipment operation experience (compact tractor, mini-ex, mini-skid steer, all manner of handheld equipment)
- Interest in learning to work with bluestone, fieldstone, granite, pavers, segmented retaining blocks, and/or brick masonry
