About Us:
Granite Hills Group (GHG) is the newly named landscaping company formed in 2021 by the merger of several family-owned landscaping companies based in Charlotte, NC, Raleigh-Durham, NC, and Greenville-Spartanburg, SC. This partnership is the platform from which GHG will become the dominant commercial landscape company in the Carolinas while retaining the culture of a family-owned business. Each branch has a landscape construction division and maintenance division and as such provides turnkey landscaping services from project groundbreaking through ongoing maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a range of landscaping tasks including but not limited to planting trees and shrubs, installing stone, and laying sod.
- Operate and maintain various 2-cycle landscaping equipment such as pole saws, chainsaws, weed eaters, and blowers.
- Assist with the operation of heavy equipment (e.g., skid steer, ditch witch), experience appreciated but not mandatory.
- Follow detailed landscape design specifications and plans with precision.
- Ensure all activities are completed within allocated time frames to meet project deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record for the past 3 years – **This is crucial as the role requires driving as a primary duty alongside general labor tasks.**
- Proven experience in landscape installation or a similar field preferred.
- Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of 2-cycle equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks under varying weather conditions.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Demonstrated reliability and a positive attitude toward work.
Desired Attributes:
- Previous experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
