Description
Trowbridge Wolf Michaels, a Fisher Associates Landscape Architecture Design Studio, is seeking a Designer Ito join the team. The Designer I provides basic support for assigned projects and completes routine design and graphic assignments.
Fisher Associates, P.E., L.S., L.A., D.P.C. is a consulting engineering and professional services firm serving the Transportation, Land Development and Energy market sectors. Our comprehensive services include Landscape Architecture, planning, engineering, environmental, survey, GIS and construction representation.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
  • Understand red-mark conventions and independently execute them consistently.
  • Understand the organization of a set of drawings and able to locate information correctly within the drawings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of building materials and how to represent them in production documents.
  • Prepare variations of design concepts.
  • Develop high-quality renderings over several platforms.
  • Demonstrate model-making capabilities over several platforms.
  • Understand production drawing conventions and, with supervision, can execute them consistently.
  • Prepare drawings/models from rough sketches or from existing design information (verbal instructions and notes).
  • Revise or change drawings, trace and/or copy existing drawings and complete simple calculations with specific instructions.
  • Participate in team meetings to coordinate design options and ideas.
  • Maintain neat and orderly work files to allow access to project information by other team members.

Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Minimum 0-5 years of Landscape Architecture related experience
  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture (BLA) required. (MLA or MS Landscape Architecture preferred)

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites.
  • Must be able to access and navigate construction sites and job areas.
  • Ability to transverse uneven grounds
  • Environmental Conditions: Office environment, field environment, construction site environment; exposure to dust, noise, grease, smoke, fumes, gases, heat, cold, and inclement weather conditions when working in the field.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually
Actual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits.
