Description


The Land Use Planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of real estate projects by expertly handling administrative tasks, project management assistance, legal/compliance responsibilities, and Land Use planning. This multifaceted position demands a professional with a comprehensive skill set including strong detail orientation, organization, communication, and an understanding of legal and compliance issues related to real estate and Land Use planning. Responsibilities include managing contracts, documents, and projects, ensuring compliance with legal standards and zoning regulations, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop plans that align with community needs and environmental policies. This role integrates administrative efficiency with strategic Land Use planning, enhancing project development by maximizing land utilization and fostering sustainable community development.


Key Responsibilities


  • Project Management Assistance:
    • Project Support: Assist in creating presentation materials for meetings and compiling materials for projects like hotel development and office leasing.
    • Task Management: Maintain a daily log of tasks, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Logistics and Supplies Management: Manage the preparation and tracking of shipments, office supplies inventory, and travel arrangements.
  • Legal/Compliance Tasks:
    • Contract Administration: Oversee contract setup in Yardi, ensure compliance with insurance requirements, and manage contract drafting and execution.
    • Document Research/Review: Conduct document reviews to extract relevant data and information, summarizing them as needed.
    • Compliance Focus: Ensure all activities comply with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Correspondence Management: Handle digital correspondence and transmittals using modern software tools.
    • Meeting Coordination: Schedule and organize meetings, prepare necessary materials using Microsoft Suite.
    • Document and Record Management: Manage project documents and company records, ensuring adherence to the corporate record retention policy.
    • Expense and Time Management: Process expense reports and manage corporate cards, maintaining accurate time records.


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate development, urban planning, construction, engineering, or related field is a plus but not required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in related role or field.
  • Ability to analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management
  • Versed in Microsoft Office suite of products, in particular Excel
  • Ability to learn sector/project-specific software systems
  • Must be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrity
  • Must hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellence
  • Must have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovation
  • Must be customer-focused and results-oriented
  • Must want to continuously learn and develop
  • Very strong professionalism and ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with others
