We are seeking 3 students for a Summer internship position with our Survey Group in Portland, which runs May-August or June-September (depending on the student's school schedule). We are looking for people who want to be challenged -- you will work on real projects starting on day one! You will have opportunities to work on a crew out in the field and assist our Survey Office Technicians with CAD, performing a variety of tasks and drawing from the experience and resources of all the professionals in the firm.
Qualifications
· Minimum 16 years old
· Available to work full-time (40 hours per week; Monday-Friday) Pay = $23/hour
· Effective communication skills and able to work effectively in a team environment
· Able to lift up to 70 lbs.
· Able to stand or walk for several hours (may occasionally encounter challenging terrain)

The Portland Civil + Survey office (including Eugene and Washington DC staff) consists of 102 employees including 40 PEs and 3 PLSs. Note: 25% of our staff are former interns. Our core Civil practice focuses on site development, public utility and roadway infrastructure, parks and trails, and innovative stormwater management. Our Survey team focuses on boundary staking, topo surveying, construction layout, drone missions, and building inspections. We work on many different and exciting design projects including education and healthcare facilities, national parks, cultural centers, zoos and museums, as well as government and international facilities. We believe in encouraging personal and professional growth, and we work hard at providing a solid structure with minimal organizational restrictions.
