Seasonal Leads assist the EMT Supervisors/HSE Senior Supervisor in the coordination of the park's overall safety, and EMS Response. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal standards and all policies/procedures established by Palace/PQR. Leads will continuously exemplify quality leadership for the EMS/safety team and provide oversight and accountability. Additional responsibilities include assisting in emergency situations and assisting in the oversight of the seasonal safety department team members and daily operation.

Summary
Seasonal Leads assist the EMT Supervisors/HSE Senior Supervisor in the coordination of the park's overall safety, and EMS Response. Roles & Responsibilities (in addition to EMT Job Description)

• Exemplify and maintain the Total Safety culture and work ethic set by the leadership team.
• Maintain SOPs and local protocols.
• Leads will have basic payroll and scheduling responsibilities (timekeeping for their staff, authorizing time worked etc.)
• Assist with the Training, monitoring, and remediating of the documentation and auditing process of new and existing team members.
• Assisting with accident investigations of guest and employee incidents, as needed.
• Maintaining First Aid, Injury & HSE files and ensuring accurate documentation while upholding confidentiality.
• Multitask under high pressure and emergency situations and delegate as necessary while maintaining communications with Park management.
• Assist in maintaining OSHA compliance and documentation in all related areas.
• Oversee and perform inspections at various Park sites to verify compliance with Park safety standards.
• Assist with the supervision of the seasonal Safety and First Aid Department staff in daily functions.
• Assist in the development of and conduct training for employees on Park safety and first aid procedures.
• Maintaining composure in dealing with guests, authorities, executives, and staff, under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned and appropriate to the area of responsibility and to meet the needs of the Park.
• Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviors.
• Examine and evaluate patients to determine necessary care
• Document patient information, condition, and treatment
• Maintain patient confidentiality and perform all care with respect for patient rights
• Attention to details & Analytical skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to handle multiple projects, and set priorities
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment
• Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and procedure

Requirements
Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
Languages: English
Skills:

• Leadership - Inspire others to achieve results, establish credibility throughout the organization and maintain a visible leadership role in appropriate industry, community and business organizations as necessary
• Previous field, ambulance and/or hospital experience required.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays with a minimum of at least 3 days of availability (to include at least 1 weekend day) per week required.
• Minimum two (2) year of field EMS experience.
• Strong teambuilding and mentoring skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across divisions; confidence working with senior leadership.
• 18 years of age or older.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
• State of Connecticut (required)
• NREMT (preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) -or- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Valid State of CT Driver's License

Relationships
Internal: Work with all department personnel
External: Work and develop a relationship with all vendors ie; EMT staff etc.
