Job Title: -- Laboratory Technician -Mini Reactors
Job Summary: --
Within a Research and Development Facility, perform bioreactor sampling and reactor preparation as required to support on site Minireactor and Large-Scale bioreactor laboratories.
Note: This position requires weekend work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: --
- Following all laboratory safety and QA policies and procedures:
- Daily reactor sampling, testing, and culture maintenance.
- Record test results and communicate with requesting scientist.
- Recognize and communicate reactor issues.
- Assemble and configure glass bioreactors as per written instructions for each experiment.
- Disassemble used bioreactors. Decontaminate, wash, rinse and sonicate parts.
- Perform and additional duties as required basis where such duties are within the scope of contractual obligations.
- Organize own work with input from agency lead and study owners.
- Follow verbal and written instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform various job functions.
Qualifications: --
- Associates Degree in a science field or two (2) years relevant experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to new scientific areas and work across teams.
- Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a laboratory setting.
- Basic Computer skills required.
Shift: day shift Tuesday to Saturday
