Responsibilities
- Preparation of patients for stress testing procedure
- Assess patient's blood pressure, pulse, respirations, lung sounds and establish IV access.
- Set up and monitor patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead and rhythm identification and interpretation.
- Preparation of pharmacological stress agents, dose calculation and administration.
- Under the direct supervision of the site physician, application of ACLS algorithms, if patient experiences heart problems or cardiac arrest during procedure.
- Ensure patient safety and provide high quality testing.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to providing consistent, excellent customer service.
- Driving company van and following Radiation Safety and DOT regulations for purpose of transporting equipment, medical supplies, radioactive material and staff to customer site.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate current competency and skills related to emergency care or paramedicine with related degree, certification and/or licensure. Paramedic license in good standing preferred OR having an active AEMT (Advanced Emergency Medical Technician) license in NJ or PA that is in good standing preferred.
- Active ACLS and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year in emergency care setting with experience responding to emergent cardiac and pulmonary events along with experience in EKG lead placement and interpretation of rhythms and IV insertion.
- Ability to push/pull heavy medical equipment.
Schedule: 10 hour shift - Monday to Friday
