Laboratory Data Entry Technician

ACTIVELY INTERVIEWING for Biospecimen Coordinator/Lab Technician to join top client of laboratory services and sample collection!

First Shift: Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:30pm

Description:

• Receives, sorts, and performs accurate Data Entry for all specimens entering the laboratory.
• Open packages to verify information on the requisition form with information on the collection container for accuracy
• Capturing Data Entry of specimen information into the computer data bases systems (LIMS and Bioinvenotry)
• Entering necessary data/tracking accurately in multiple laboratory information management systems.
• Responsible for documentation within the electronic master file (uploading/completing documents and use of document exchange portals including conduct of completeness checks)
• Keeps up with multiple project protocols and requirements
• Examining specimens adequacy for processing
• Labeling and measuring volumes for specimen sample
• Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure samples are handed off for timely and accurate results based on project
• Properly take pictures of data on outside of specimen container for QC purposes
• Pack and ship specimens to proper facilities when required
• Properly store specimen samples when required
• Assisting clients and project manager with inquiries pertaining to specimen’s requirements and test turnaround times.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in the Sciences (Biology Preferred)
• Strong Data entry skills (typing - no test required)
• Previous experience in laboratory or related work environment
• Proficient typing and Data Entry skills
