- Completes the testing of products and systems to validate to the customer requirements; including strength, life cycle, corrosion, water, electrical, torque, photo, and vibration testing
- Acquires parts, tests, requests and test equipment to conduct physical testing.
- Collects data from physical testing reports. Analyzes findings, creates reports and submits to supervisor for approval. Files with supporting documentation.
- Works with Lab Sr Test Technician/Test Engineer to develop and/or improve validation tests while performing the tests of new/existing products.
- Completes the necessary documentation for all test procedures, instructions, results and reports.
- Provides input into designing new fixtures. Provides clarity to engineers regarding testing processes and feasibility and equipment.
- General computer knowledge and skills to operate equipment.
Education & Experience:
- Associate's or technical degree specializing in mechanics, electrical, or other mechanical field; or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in a test lab environment preferred.
- Vibration testing experience recommended. Use of Thermotron / Vibration Research software is a plus.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude with ability to read and understand blueprint schematics.
- Capable of working with various testing equipment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Strong documentation abilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Must be able to translate technical findings into narrative that can be easily understood by users at all levels. Narrative in reports must be easily understood. Good documentation abilities.
