Lab Assistant, Healthcare Professions (Internal Applicants Only)

Starting Salary Range is $35,651 -$40,113. The initial salary offer is commensurate with education and related work experience.

The Lab Assistant provides coordination and management of lab space, time allocation, supplies, students and faculty in the Healthcare Professions labs and Simulation Center. The Lab Assistant provides administrative/secretarial assistance to the faculty for Healthcare Professions lab spaces. In addition, the Lab Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of lab supplies and inventory necessary for the ongoing lab experiences for Nursing and Cross Credit Healthcare students. The labs are utilized by Nursing and Cross Credit Healthcare. This position has no teaching responsibilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Coordination of lab spaces, maintenance of supplies, materials, and inventory.

Provide faculty assistance for lab set up and break down.

Maintain the clinical lab equipment.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

The lab is currently available to all Nursing and Cross Credit Healthcare students.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesInternal candidates only - Must be a current full-time or part-time employee of Lee College

High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

Must provide excellent customer service and be a team player

Must demonstrate proficient computer skills (i.e., Microsoft Office programs and other software products used by the College)

Must be available to work Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. – Noon; weekend and evening scheduling may be necessary to accommodate student needs
